The King Descends

The King Descends

A hush came over heaven’s creatures

All eyes upon the Son

The true God would take on human features

The rescue had begun

Whisked away from his perfect throne

To the earth that he had made

What was it like to leave his home?

And feel the warmth of heaven fade?

The angels watched as he descended down

But this king would come again

And he will arise with a glorious crown

That redeems the hearts of men
